Our 2024 annual Beach Day Charity event was a great success, bringing our community together to support veterans. Participants took part in a 1-mile walk to the Hermosa Beach Pier and back, all to benefit Ruck for Vets, an organization focused on raising awareness of veterans’ mental health challenges. Every dollar raised went directly to Ruck for Veterans, helping further their mission. The Greater Los Angeles SIOR Chapter matched a $1,000 donation made by FLAG (Foundation for Learning, Athletics, & Growth). We’re happy to support such a great cause!
About Ruck for Vets
Since 2017, Ruck for Veterans has been dedicated to supporting veteran-specific causes. Their mission is to bring attention to issues like mental health struggles, which many veterans face after their service. The organization started as a fundraising initiative, and after receiving its official 501(c)(3) nonprofit status in 2021, it expanded its efforts to include events that educate and honor veterans. Ruck for Veterans continues to raise awareness and provide support to veterans and their families, helping ensure their sacrifices are not forgotten.
